Highlights from recomine-Living-Labs-Workshop & "Mettenschicht"

On November 30th 2023, the recomine-alliance and 4transfer-Innovationsverbund held an exciting exchange on the topic of "living labs" in Ehrenfriedersdorf. Rico Blei presented the existing lovong lab in the administrative context of the Meißen University of Applied Sciences (FH) and training centre. Dr Diana Ayeh shed light on the social science perspectives of living labs. Then Dr Steve Rother presented the Smart Rail Connectivity Campus SRCC alliance, which is on its way to becoming a living lab.
The recomine alliance is also planning its own living lab in the field of tailings processing and remining, and the speakers exchanged ideas with the audience in the panel discussion. Conclusion of the discussion: The involvement of all stakeholders, especially the population, is essential, but not easy. Finally, all participants went underground to the Ehrenfriedersdorf tin mine to visit the TERZinn II project stand and gain an initial insight into the project work. Afterwards, there was a joint underground "Mettenschicht" with a glass of mulled wine or hot tea.
