3. data storage and security measures

With external service providers (e.g. hosting, maintenance and support) who receive access to personal data on this website on behalf of the HZDR, there are contracts for order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. We use SSL encryption as standard for the encrypted transmission of personal data.

Logging and creation of log files
In order to ensure a secure and stable website, personal, technical data from your Internet browser is logged by us or by our hosting provider. Among other things, the type and version of your Internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you have switched to our website (referrer URL), the website(s) of our website that you visit, the date and time of the respective access and the IP address of the Internet connection from which our website is used are collected. On the use and application of Google Maps

Our website uses Google Maps API to display geographical information visually, e.g. to make it easier for you to find us. 9th Newsletter

For the purpose of providing our visitors with regular information, our website offers the option of subscribing to a free newsletter. The content relates exclusively to your interests in our topics. Registration is voluntary, i.e. based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 a GDPR. To register, we only need your e-mail address. Following registration, you will receive a confirmation email from us. This is to ensure that the email address you have provided is correct and belongs to you.
