Method kit
for transdisciplinary raw materials research
In the recomine alliance, the development of solutions for remediation mining does not (only) take place in the laboratory, but at various locations in the Ore Mountains in the vicinity of slag heaps, slag or mine water.
In addition to project partners from science or the raw materials industry, social stakeholders, e.g. from the fields of education, nature conservation or monument protection, also have specific concerns and interests with regard to the development sites.
In order to build on existing knowledge and address (potential) conflicts at an early stage, adapted participation tools have been developed since the start of 2020 in Start Project 3 “Analysis of decision-making structures and conflicts and development of a toolkit of methods for transdisciplinary cooperation“.
The “method kit” being developed will provide recomine stakeholders and official decision-makers with tools and solution concepts for forms of interaction between science, authorities and society. The long-term goal of the project is to identify and address conflicts at an early stage and to involve social stakeholders in the development processes of innovative technologies.
